Peter Mandelson, a former minister and British ambassador who was once a leading figure in the Labour Party, has been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the case of convicted American financier Jeffrey Epstein. London police announced in the early hours of Tuesday that Mandelson had been released on bail pending the completion of the investigation. The Metropolitan Police said in a statement: 'A 72-year-old man was released on bail on suspicion of committing offenses while in public office, pending further investigations.' Prince Andrew, who previously held the title of Duke of York, is also suspected of involvement in the case. Mandelson's arrest came four days after the former prince was arrested last Thursday.
